Important Information

As we are located in a rural hamlet, we have neighbours. The pool and garden are not overlooked.

The pool is for your private use during the rental period. During your stay we will be cleaning the pool at least once a week and a gardener may visit to cut the grass. You will be informed of the day the gardener will visit on your arrival.

The pool is not visible from the gite. It is accessed by a grassed path down the side of the house and through a gate. Here you will also find the BBQ, Pétanque court and table and chairs for your use. There is also a cold shower to use by the pool.

The pool is not heated but for brave souls will be available to use all season, mid April to the end of October. The pool is treated with chlorine.

PAYMENT

Payment will be due in stages depending on the time of booking.

For reservations within 6 weeks of arrival full payment will be requested at the time of booking.

30% of the total cost of your stay will be required to reserve the gite.

6 weeks before your stay, you will be asked to pay the remaining 70% plus the cleaning and damage deposits. Full payment can always be paid at the time of booking.

All payments are by bank transfer or French chèque.

Taxe de Sejour is payable on arrival. This small charge is payable by all adults over 18 years of age and will be collected on arrival.

The gite is strictly no smoking including hanging out of windows! Anyone found smoking in the property will be asked to leave with no refund.

Pets of any kind are not permitted.

We do ask that between 23h00/11pm until 8h00 in the morning noise is kept to a minimum.

The property is NOT suitable for Hen or Stag parties.

As we are in a rural Hamlet location there are country noises and creatures!

You will hear chickens, tractors, donkeys, dogs etc You may well be joined by spiders although we do put them out, we don’t have control of wildlife!

Our home is attached to the rear of the Gite. The gite has it’s own private front door and is totally independent. If you need us for anything, we are here to assist, if not, you will not see us unless we’re invited to join you for an apero or BBQ!

Long Winter Stays are available on request up to a maximum of 90 days. A discounted monthly rate will be available. There will be an extra charge for heating and electricity. The gite is centrally heated.

The cleaning and damages deposit are both fully refundable.

If you choose to clean the property yourself, we ask that the floors are mopped and dry before we visit to inspect the gite. All beds are to be stripped and bedding folded, rubbish removed, fridge and freezer emptied, oven, hob and BBQ cleaned. Full details will be in the welcome pack. The cleaning deposit will be returned on the day of departure if the gite is cleaned to an acceptable standard.

If you wish to NOT clean the property, we still ask that you empty the rubbish, fridge etc and leave the place in a good state. All furniture is to be in the same place as it was found. The BBQ MUST be cleaned before your deposit will be returned.

The damage deposit covers damage to larger items, furniture, bedding, towels, curtains etc. Any damage will be discussed and taken off the deposit before it is returned to you within 48 hours if paid by bank transfer or upon departure if paid by cash and no damage is found during inspection.

We also ask that you are fully insured for your holidays.
